Position Overview
Provides cybersecurity engineering expertise to ensure that all tools developed under the JCW program meet stringent DoD security requirements. Oversees system security architecture, accreditation processes, and compliance with RMF throughout the lifecycle.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead RMF lifecycle activities including preparation of SSPs, POA&Ms, and accreditation artifacts.
• Ensure system and software security requirements are identified, tracked, and implemented.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis.
• Advise developers and engineers on secure coding and system hardening practices.
• Support continuous monitoring activities and prepare for security audits.
• Coordinate with ISSOs, ISSMs, and government security officials to maintain authorization to operate (ATO).
• Document findings, recommendations, and compliance evidence for leadership and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly.
• 10+ years cybersecurity engineering experience in DoD environments.
• Strong expertise in RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and security accreditation processes.
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools and security assessments.
Education and Certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
• CISSP, CAP, or IASAE II/III certification required.
